One of the strongest and most consistent predictors of compassion fatigue and burnout is a lack of healthy boundaries in how we approach our work. In this presentation, we consider the research, the regulations, and the responsibility we have to manage our own emotional boundaries – boundaries that will lead us to be more effective and efficient caregivers that protect the safety of all involved, from patient to organization.
